I took this photo at the Merritt Island Wildlife Sanctuary in Titusville, Florida. This egret was busily fishing and didn't seem to be concerned that I was taking photo after photo.
The snowy egret (Egretta thula) is a small white heron. Snowy egrets nest in colonies on thick vegetation in isolated places, such as barrier islands, dredge-spoil islands, salt marsh islands, swamps, and marshes. Like all egrets, it is a member of the heron family, Ardeidae. (info from Wikipedia)
