A Fishing Pier in Maine
I visited Maine a few years back, primarily to spend a week out on the Atlantic aboard a tall ship. But I did manage to make some time for land lubber photography. Unfortunately, I wasn't very good about keeping notes as to where I was.....So all I know is this is one of the many piers near the Camden coast of Maine. I suspect we found it on the way to Owl's Head Lighthouse.
Note the sand and the poles of the pier high out of water. This is because the difference between high and low tide can be enormous. At high tide, the water is near the deck of the pier.
