Ghost Ranch, New Mexico
It's hard to imagine that the land that is now Ghost Ranch, about an hour from Santa Fe, New Mexico, was once a wetland. It's now high desert.
Today it's a retreat and education center. Georgia OKeeffe, the noted artist, spent much of her time painting here.
