Orcas, the Killer Whales
Orcas, also known as killer whales, are mammals and give birth to one live calf no more than every five years. She weans the calf at around one year of age, but the calf is likely to stay with the pod for life. The orcas are very social animals and the entire pod helps to raise the calves.
