Great White Egret
I took this photo from a boat on the Chobe River in Botswana.
The great egret (Ardea alba), also known as the common egret, large egret or great white heron, is a large, widely distributed egret. The great white egret is a large bird that largely lives in marshes and reeds of water areas. It roosts in trees at night. This bird can have a wingspan of up to 67 inches and can stand up to 6 and a half feet tall.
